TYR Tactical is hiring a Maintenance Technician I in Peoria, AZ. This is a full-time position.
Summary of Position: The Maintenance Technician I is an entry-to-intermediate level maintenance position responsible for supporting the safe and reliable operation of production equipment and facility systems. Working alongside the Industrial Maintenance Technician, this position performs preventive maintenance, routine repairs, equipment inspections, basic troubleshooting, and maintenance documentation. $24 - $28 hourly/DOE Duties & Responsibilities: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections in accordance with established maintenance schedules. Assist the Industrial Maintenance Technician with troubleshooting and repair of production machinery and mechanical equipment. Diagnose and correct basic mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues within the employee level of training; escalate complex problems as appropriate. Remove, replace, adjust, and install common mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and approved maintenance equipment. Support maintenance activities on commercial presses, autoclaves, water jets, overhead cranes, CNC cutters, sewing/cutting equipment, and related facility systems. Respond to routine maintenance requests and assist with minimizing equipment downtime. Complete work orders and document preventive maintenance, repairs, parts used, equipment condition, and follow-up actions. Maintain maintenance tools, spare parts, and work areas in a clean and organized condition. Qualifications: 1-3 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, automotive/heavy equipment, facilities maintenance, or comparable hands-on mechanical experience preferred. Working knowledge of mechanical systems and basic troubleshooting practices. Exposure to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, or automation systems preferred. Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools. Ability to read and follow equipment manuals, diagrams, work instructions, and preventive maintenance procedures. Basic computer skills and ability to document completed maintenance activities; CMMS experience preferred but not required. Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Strong mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, and ability to follow established troubleshooting and escalation processes. Good communication, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school, technical certification, apprenticeship, or related college coursework preferred.
