Job Summary The Director of Clinical Performance designs and implements an operational framework to ensure clinical operations performance metrics are monitored, measured and reported to all stakeholders as well as mitigate potential performance issues. The Director oversees the administrative functions that support clinical operations and other interdependent operational departments. This role aligns contract requirements with workflows and departmental processes including regulatory compliance, clinical operations, interdepartmental collaboration, project management and government request for information.
Education & Experience Required: • Bachelor's degree in nursing
• U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
• 10+ years of healthcare leadership experience that includes progressively responsible roles in driving clinical performance and business goals with operational disciplines, tools and practices
• At least five years of leading and managing healthcare operations and people leadership to include supervision of direct and indirect staff and management of teams
• Expertise with process improvement, project planning, team management, or new program development Demonstrated successes with operational design and performance improvement initiatives with measurable results
• Expertise in planning, directing and managing enterprise-wide projects with measurable short and long-term impact
• Experience facilitating large-scale meetings resulting in clearly defined project plans and/or strategies
• Experience briefing and/or advising executive leadership
Preferred: • Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration/Healthcare Administration, or other related field
• Experience and knowledge of the Veterans Affairs health care system and Department of Defense military healthcare system
• Experience with regulatory and compliance leadership for example: TJC, URAC
Key Responsibilities • Oversee the project management, regulatory compliance, and other clinical operations support teams to ensure clinical performance and compliance with contractual and regulatory compliance standards.
• Collaborate with operational leadership to identify and develop solutions to drive performance improvements across departmental processes, training, and monitoring measures.
• Develops deep understanding of the business units' operations, performance requirements and barriers to performance and utilizes quantitative tools and techniques to perform data-based analysis and identify improvement opportunities.
• Leads cross-functional teams to assess, track and trend quality and performance measures and serves on cross-functional committees and project teams to lead improvement efforts.
• Supervises and provides direction, coaching and support to assigned teams and across interdepartmental team to meet objectives and goals.
• Promotes the development and integration of systems thinking, customer focus and use of improvement tools.
• Provides regular and actionable reports to senior leadership on analysis of issues, trends and recommendations for changes to achieve and sustain performance improvements. • Utilizes consulting and facilitation approaches for qualitative assessments.
• Organizes new, complex and disparate issues into strategic and tactical performance plans. Creates innovative solutions and implements corrective action plans in coordination with TriWest's ePMO, command center and business units.
• Champions Lean, Six Sigma, system redesign and PI initiatives and functions as a facilitator during TriWest's operational construct design and improvement sessions.
• Supports project implementation when required using project management tools to develop project plans/timelines, coordinate/manage project, monitor and report status, progress and areas of risk in relation to established project objectives, requirements and timelines.
• Track and follow through on all issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Proficient with Excel, SQL, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. Ability to navigate and apply use of PowerBI and Tableau reports and dashboards.
