Job Summary The Benefits Coordinator provides administrative support for the daily operations of the company's employee benefit programs such as: health, retirement, life and disability, wellness, ergonomics, and leaves of absence. This entry-level role ensures accurate data entry, timely response to employee inquiries, and smooth coordination of benefits processes. The role helps maintain employee benefit files, systems, and reports, while delivering excellent customer service to employees. Additionally, the role supports various administrative tasks for the HRIS team.
Education & Experience Required: • Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of experience in benefits administration, Human Resources, or related role
• Experience working in a fast-paced high-intensity environment
• U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred: • Knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirement
• Experience supporting multi-state employee populations
Key Responsibilities • Monitor and triage shared benefits inbox, respond to routine inquiries and route complex issues to Benefits Administrators.
• Maintain and organize employee benefit files and documentation (electronic and paper as needed).
• Process employment verifications.
• Perform data entry for benefit-related events, including new hires, ACA tracking.
• Perform COBRA administration for initial notifications and termination offers of coverage.
• Perform administration of disability benefit eligibility and enrollment.
• Generate and distribute leave of absence notifications and premium invoices.
• Assist with preparing and sending communications such as benefit letters, notices, and open enrollment materials.
• Provide support and tracking of project management initiatives.
• Audit correct history records to ensure they meet compliance requirements.
• Provide support during Open Enrollment including printing, mailing, tracking and general support.
• Support the annual 401(k) audit and compliance-related processes through data gathering and document preparation.
• Assist with wellness activities and ergonomic program requests by logging cases and tracking follow-up.
• Support HRIS team with data entry, reporting, printing, filing, and scanning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions Working Conditions: • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required to meet volume demands
