Job Summary

Primarily responsible for managing the financial accounting function, concerning the accuracy and maintenance of the ledger accounts and resultant financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assists in budget preparation.
2. Coordinates auditors for audit reports and year end closing journal entries.
3. May supervise staff, including: establishing and communicating performance expectations, providing feedback, and conduct Performance Reviews
4. Prepares all operational financial statements.
5. Prepares monthly equipment report for operations.
6. Prepares quarterly fuel tax, excise tax and motor carrier tax returns.
7. Processes transactions for fixed assets Uournal entries and book/tax depreciations).
8. Reconciles asset and liability ledger accounts.

Minimum Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting field preferred.

1. May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
2. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
3. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
4. Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/work day
5. Will lift, push or pull objects pounds on an occasional basis
6. Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.
7. Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors
