Your Job Molex is looking for a Group Product Manager (PM) to lead a team of Product Managers based in North America. The individual must be self-motivated and driven to grow profitable business globally. The Group PM will manage a team responsible for the P& L for fiber optic products from two US manufacturing facilities and two global assembly sites. The ideal candidate comes with working experience of leading teams, driving profitable growth, have a technical background with a willingness to learn and hungry to be part of the significant growth in the specialty fiber market segment.
This role is remote eligible with preference to sit in Phoenix, AZ - other locations may be considered for the right candidate.
Our Team Polymicro & FiberGuide Industries are Molex Brands, and part of Koch Industries, manufacturers for optical fibers, fiber assemblies, fused silica capillary tubing and other micro-components for the medical device and analytical instrument industries.
What You Will Do - Lead a team of product managers with a drive for profitable growth
- Establish growth targets, track forecasts, identify growth areas, build customer relationships, and work closely with sales to win large design opportunities
- Manage positive revenue and margin growth for the assigned product portfolio
- Collaborate with key accounts to drive strategy and growth
- Understand market needs, technologies, and competition
- Learn and understand the manufacturing process, trade secrets, competitive advantages, and nuances of fiber products
- Work with the product marketing team on large customer quote packages and direct expectations
- Manage variables and different customers/markets to drive to different commercial needs and manage accordingly
- Collaborate with the supply-chain on cost management
- Select projects and align with customer needs
- Seek perspective, embrace challenges, and strive to win
- Maintain a strong focus on customer experience and satisfaction
- Collaborate with the marketing team on web development for molex.com
- Know the product performance and all product details.
- Understand the competitive landscape to drive competitive advantage
- Understand common applications and why the product is needed for the given application
- Manage capacity, cost, price, and lead-time effectively
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) - Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
- At least 5 or more years of experience communicating with all levels of management and with internal or external customers
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team
What Will Put You Ahead - In-depth knowledge of chemistry, supported by professional experience or a Chemistry degree
- Advanced business acumen, demonstrated by an MBA or equivalent business degree
For this role, we anticipate paying $70, 000 - $120, 000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
