Position Summary:
We are seeking a visionary Test Engineer Manager with a passion for automation, innovation, and leadership to drive the future of software testing. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Selenium and Python, a strong grasp of AI-assisted testing tools like GitHub Copilot, and a proven track record of leading high-performing Test Engineer teams.
You will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of our testing practice, mentoring engineers, and implementing cutting-edge automation frameworks that scale with our products. Essential Job Functions:
Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Architect and maintain robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks using Selenium, Python, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Leverage AI tools like GitHub Copilot to accelerate test development and improve code quality.
Define and drive the future vision of testing within the organization, including AI-driven testing, predictive analytics, and autonomous test generation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Product, Development) to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead initiatives to implement change.
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the team and tools future-ready.
Design and implement automated dashboards and reporting systems to track test coverage, defect trends, automation ROI, and release readiness.
Define and monitor key quality metrics (e.g., test pass/fail rates, defect leakage, test execution time, automation coverage).
Provide regular reports and insights to leadership and stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
Use metrics to identify bottlenecks, forecast risks, and continuously improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Promote a metrics-driven culture within the testing team to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
10+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.
Deep expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Python, and test automation frameworks.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) in a testing context.
Proven leadership experience managing and scaling testing or test automation teams.
Strong understanding of CI/CD, version control (Git), and cloud-based testing environments.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic mindset with the ability to envision and execute a roadmap for the future of testing.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Background in AI/ML testing or interest in exploring AI-driven quality engineering.
Contributions to open-source testing tools or frameworks.
