Position Summary:
Primary Objective of the Admissions Specialist for the High School Course Sales department is that it is a sales position. The goal of this department is to partner with High Schools, School districts and private schools to help meet a variety of their students’ education needs. The primary mission is to work with school districts and schools to ensure that every student be given the opportunity to earn their own schools high school diploma.
Essential Job Functions:
The ideal candidate will need to be able to work as a team as well as independently and constructively to research new potential school partnership opportunities. Leads may be provided to work from and/or candidate will need to create their own leads in Salesforce. He/she will manually outbound call the DMC’s and sell individual high school credits from the Penn Foster and/or Ashworth-James Madison HS for the purpose of summer school, credit recovery, drop-out recovery, acceleration, career electives, full diploma, drop out retrieval, and diploma completion programs. This is a relationship building sales position and excellent attendance is a must. He/she represents Penn Foster/James Madison in a professional manner and according to policies and procedures.
Major Areas of Accountability include meeting monthly sales as well as performance goals, provide accurate and complete school/course information to the prospective student and DMC, order entry through AS400 B2B and New Leaf. Account and student record keeping through Saleforce.com. Oracle emails, follow established Penn Foster/Ashworth-James Madison HS policies and procedures, handle all calls in a professional and courteous manner, transfer student calls to the correct departments, probe for information to qualify prospective students for enrollment, and performs other duties, school requests, or responsibilities as required or requested. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required. Working knowledge of Salesforce helpful. This position requires occasional rotating Saturday shifts.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: Knowledge of Penn Foster Group policies and embodiment of the culture code. Admissions experience preferred but not required.
