What You’ll Get to Do The Door Assembler prepares work to be accomplished by reading and studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists, and gathering parts, tools, and materials to produce storefront doors and frames. All applicants will start the position as a door prepper to learn the necessary knowledge before assembling doors. This role is not limited to strictly assembling doors and could be utilized in other areas of the plant as needed to cover production requirements or other assignments deemed necessary by management. This role reports to the Production Manager.

Job responsibilities include:

• Use hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, and impact wrenches.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders; process work orders by due dates provided.
• Read and use a tape measure.
• Read and perform calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Complete daily worksheets and forms, calculate necessary measurements, and inspect work consistently and efficiently to meet production goals.

What We Are Looking For

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to read and understand measurements and dimensions.
• Ability to read and understand assembly instructions and blueprints.
• Coachable to train on various aspects of the position.
• Safety-oriented with the ability to wear all required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hat, cut-resistant sleeves, steel toe shoes with met guard).
