What You Will Do - Lead a corrugated maintenance team to operate in an SIF-free (Severe Injuries or Fatalities) continuous manufacturing environment consistent with PBM® philosophy while meeting facility goals and vision.
- Prioritize and execute safety-related work orders; present weekly safety tailgates and drive HOP, safety, and environmental excellence.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance work to improve EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, production, and cost performance.
- Execute the maintenance reliability plan in partnership with the Reliability Manager; ensure PMs are assigned, completed, and followed up with child work orders, parts orders, repairs, and closeouts.
- Ensure PM completion rate meets targets (drive and sustain > 95% using PM SOP) and log all technician hours and work orders in Plex (CMMS).
- Assign and spot-check work orders, verify parts/materials checkout on work orders, and document changes needed in work instructions/lockout procedures.
- Participate in troubleshooting, Root Cause/Repeat Failure Analyses for major downtimes, and report out RCA findings.
- Ensure technicians follow PPE, SML, LTV, APM, and SBS requirements; identify safety risks and work with EHS to close gaps.
- Develop technicians through on-the-job oversight, departmental and external training, coaching, and performance feedback; identify high performers and support development plans.
- Coordinate crew coverage for unexpected call-outs, verify personnel are in assigned areas, and complete assigned work orders and required data entry/reports.
- Support production alignment and optimization to deliver business value; escalate issues blocking work completion and provide revised ETAs.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) - Proven experience leading a maintenance team in an industrial, manufacturing, production, or military environment.
- Experience in paper, graphic printing, pulp, converting, or related manufacturing environments.
- Proficient with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Plex or equivalent) and experienced in planning/scheduling maintenance work orders.
- Experience managing parts inventory, maintenance logistics, and ensuring proper materials tracking on work orders.
- Experience implementing and tracking Predictive/Preventive Maintenance programs and maintenance metrics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical/electrical systems and ability to work collaboratively across all organizational levels.
- Able and willing to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays in an industrial setting.
What Will Put You Ahead - Direct experience in the corrugated/packaging industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or an industrial maintenance technical degree.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, drives, servos, motors, instrumentation, and industrial controls.
- Demonstrated success driving PM completion rates, conducting RCAs, and improving equipment reliability (MTBF/OEE/downtime reduction).
- Familiarity with PBM®, HOP, and cultural change initiatives focused on safety and continuous improvement.
