JOB SUMMARY:

Power Systems Business Development Manager. Drive incremental volume in the power generation space with opportunities typically found serving hyperscale data centers, utilities, bridge to grid and other large-scale clients including mine site electrification. Provide technical sales development for a mixture of 20MW+ opportunities, including multi-unit paralleling solutions stationary or portable applications. Works closely with sales engineers, application engineers and Empire leaderships as required. Typical travel expectation is 25%.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop & grow assigned business market.
  • Expand product lines with strengths in assigned business market.
  • Maintain knowledge of business market requirements and regulations.
  • Acquire Voice of the Customer and market research on potential new business endeavors.
  • May provide inside sales support to unassigned accounts.
  • Utilize CRM software to capture customer data.
  • Maintain an understanding of customer value drivers in each market segment.
  • Develop new opportunities for assigned business market.
  • Create an environment of ownership and personal accountability where each person is responsible and accountable for their performance.
  • Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify additional growth opportunities in assigned business market.
  • Work with all managers to ensure a comfortable transition in assigned business market.
  • Begin as a multi-tasked single individual operation.
  • Work within and promote corporate values.


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Critical thinker that is in touch with global, regional and industry economics.
  • Must have proven sales skills, and be familiar with financing, taxes, rental and leasing arrangements, restrictive specifications, and sales documentation.
  • Must perform common calculations quickly and accurately .
  • Must be able to present in front of large groups .
  • Must be an exceptional communicator .
  • Must be capable of building a consensus among peers .
  • Must have a foundational understanding of accounting .
  • Must understand dealer and factory relationships .
  • Mechanical aptitude sufficient to understand mechanical applications .
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.
  • Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Business degree preferred .
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in related field.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office Products.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
