In this role, you will be responsible for supervising all Sonoran reception desk staffing and operations to ensure the delivery of a high level of service and professionalism to members, guests, and teammates by executing the Desert Mountain values and service standards.

The ideal candidate will be outgoing, friendly, and professional with a passion for serving others and dedicated to delivering excellent customer service. Two years of previous supervisory experience; managing staff and operations in a similar facility preferred. Customer service management experience in a resort, hotel, country club environment, with strong working knowledge of the health promotion and fitness industry. Prior experience with high-end clientele is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license.

JOB DETAILS

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises Reception Desk operations to include phone system, member inquiries, reservations, staff schedule, comfort station, flyer board, ordering, opening, and closing Sonoran Clubhouse, stocking facility supplies, submitting work orders, among other duties.
  • Scheduled to work alongside teammates at the reception desk.
  • Provide admin assistance to Sonoran Clubhouse Director 10-15 hours per week.
  • Manage time-off requests and provide coverage at the desk when needed.
  • In collaboration with the Facilities team ensure the tidiness, stocking of supplies, and organization of the fitness areas, common areas, and studios.
  • Responsible for hiring, staffing, scheduling, and training of the Reception Desk team.
  • Coaching to Desert Mountain standards of service and professionalism.
  • Assist direct manager with KPI reporting and tracking metrics to determine best business practices based on utilization.
  • Attract and retain members by consistently providing excellent customer service.
  • Supervising and managing staff members, planning, assigning, and directing work/projects, appraising performance, and annual individual/team goals.
  • Collaborate with direct manager to prepare and manage departmental budget.
  • Post Member information to communicate events, closures, changes, etc. Ensure all club information is communicated to all departments.
  • Responsible for managing correct television and audio/ volume within clubhouse.
  • Manage inventory of the lobby comfort station and office supplies, and order as needed.
  • Manage newspaper orders and adjust seasonally based on demand.
  • Conducts regular department meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Required to push, pull, lift and/or move up to 20 pounds – Frequently
  • Required to push and/or pull up to 50 pounds – Occasionally
  • Exposed to extreme cold and heat (non-weather) – Occasionally
  • Required to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
