DEPCOM Power, a leading renewable energy EPC, is looking to add a Senior Subcontracts Manager to their team. This position is responsible for the management and execution of DEPCOM's PV and energy storage subcontracts. The ideal candidate has a high level of attention to detail, including excellent verbal & written communication skills.

This role is based out of the headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ. Remote and/or hybrid candidates with previous subcontract experience may be considered.

This position is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship.

What You Will Do
  • Supervise a team of Subcontracts Managers, providing strategic direction and mentorship to drive team success.
  • Conduct new hire onboarding and provide ongoing professional development initiatives for subcontract management team members.
  • Develop and enhance the skillsets of current Subcontracts Managers to ensure alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals.
  • Develop and communicate clear role responsibilities & performance expectations for direct reports
  • Provide guidance and support to the team to help the resolve issues
  • Provide support to team members for negotiating Ts& Cs to ensure favorable outcomes
  • Ensure consistent application of best practices in contracting, schedule management, RFP methodologies, and related processes
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with preferred subcontractors in current and emerging markets through sourcing and prequalification processes
  • Lead the bid process for subcontractor selection, negotiating pricing and terms to establish long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with preferred partners
  • Collaborate with Construction and Project Controls teams to maintain effective oversight of subcontract financials, scheduling, and project execution
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts by developing and refining templates, processes, communication tools, trackers, and other operational resources
  • Draft and execute subcontract agreements in collaboration with engineering and project management teams to align with project objectives
  • Take the lead in resolving disputes, negotiating change orders, refining terms and conditions, and optimizing contract pricing as needed
  • Foster and manage strong, professional relationships with subcontractors to ensure mutual success and alignment with organizational values
  • Travel to project sites and/or vendor sites as needed


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in contract management, construction management and/or project management
  • Previous negotiation experience with contracts


What Will Put You Ahead
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business, Supply Chain Management or Law
  • Experience in the construction industry
  • Experience procuring Services
  • Experience compiling bid documents and soliciting bids
  • Experience sourcing new subcontractors


For this role, we anticipate paying $130k - $160k per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
