Your Job DEPCOM Power, a Koch company, is looking to add a
Project Manager to their team specializing in Contracts and Risk Management. The candidate selected for this role will have experience in construction Project Management and really enjoys digging into the contract and risk mitigation side of project execution. This position will manage and oversee all aspects of contract administration and risk management for multiple projects pertaining to Utility- Scale PV plants and BESS.
This is a remote role that requires travel at a frequency between 10% - 25% dependent on project need.
This role does not provide Visa sponsorship.Our Team DEPCOM's Project Delivery Organization executes full turnkey PV, BESS, and Repower projects with collection substations and generation transmission lines. We utilize preferred partnerships with key vendors and subcontractors while coordinating with interconnection utilities across the nation. What You Will Do - Develop, negotiate, and administer project contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Manage and document project change orders, coordinating with stakeholders to align changes with project goals and budgets.
- Maintain a comprehensive change order log and provide regular project status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Support the Project Director, Project Manager, and team members in contract management, coordinating with legal and finance departments.
- Provide expertise to internal stakeholders on contract terms, focusing on construction execution and operational impacts.
- Facilitate project risk management efforts, including maintaining the risk register and developing mitigation and contingency plans.
- Draft and manage project-related documents, including letters, notices, amendments, and scope change documents.
- Evaluate and manage claims-related activities, drafting formal correspondence and serving as the primary contact for dispute resolution.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and update management plans, documenting contractual lessons learned for future improvements.
- Facilitate negotiations and mediations to minimize project timeline and budget impacts.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) - Experience in Project Management in the construction industry
- Experience in risk mitigation assessment
- Experience managing contracts
- Valid driver's license
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship now or in the future
What Will Put You Ahead - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, or Business
- Utility solar or wind experience
- Experience in the development and/or construction management of EPC projects
For this role, we anticipate paying $140k - $180k per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
