The Government Procurement Lead ensures that sub-contractors hire, and material source are well-equipped to handle grants tasks, grants compliance, and procurement tasks, Procurement Lead ensure the programs cover best practices, regulatory requirements, and the use of technological tools, empowering employees with the knowledge and skills needed for success.
What you will do to contribute to the company's success- The responsibility of the Government Procurement Lead is to verify vendors and ensure the quality of the material delivered to construction sites. This responsibility extends to ensuring that all materials reach the site on time and meet the desired quality standards while considering the client's expectations, project budget, and meet federal, state, and local regulations/standards.
- The Procurement Lead offers continuous support to address any issues or queries that may arise during the grant and procurement processes. This includes providing access to a dedicated support team, online resources, and regular updates on regulatory changes and best practices.
- The management of grants and procurement is a critical aspect of government contracting that requires specialized knowledge and tools. Cable One's comprehensive solutions for government grants ensure that these processes are handled with the utmost efficiency, compliance, and transparency.

- Effective communication with stakeholders from Engineering, Construction, Network, and Product Engineering departments is crucial.
- Cable One ensures that project demands are accurately communicated in the form of a bill of material and/or demand requirement, along with a timeline for material delivery for every planned project.
- Supporting stakeholders to create requisitions correctly and review proposals, and timely is essential for ensuring timely project completion and higher project inventory turns.
- Cable One's process management ensures that all requisitions are submitted promptly to meet project timelines.
- It is vital to account for, and report completed project materials before project closeout. Cable One liaises with relevant department stakeholders to ensure all materials are accounted for and documented accurately.
- Working closely with the Inventory Control team, Cable One develops and implements processes to track supplier-held project materials. Additionally, they collaborate with local warehouses to inventory unused project materials and decide whether to return them to inventory or dispose of them properly.
- Cable One develops metrics to measure and track project demand planning key performance indicators such as Project Inventory Turns, Percentage of Excess Project Material, and Percentage of Obsolescence Project Material.
