Description:

The Director of Rehabilitation reports to the Vice President of Hospital Operations and oversees the rehabilitation services including therapy, case management, therapy scheduling, and quality reporting via IRF PAI.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the therapy, case management, therapy scheduling, and IRF PAI departments
  • Oversee key performance indicators specific to rehabilitative services including but not limited to functional outcomes, discharge disposition, and access to care
  • Oversee operational and capital budget for rehabilitation departments
  • Develop succession plans for the growth of rehabilitation services
  • Complete performance management and disciplinary action in collaboration with HR
  • Utilize data analytics to drive quality metrics and improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Understand and utilize payroll reporting, profit and loss statements, volume reports, and payer mix
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain policies and procedures with respect to therapy and case management
  • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Programs on program enhancements and advancement
  • Collaborate with educators and therapy management to ensure adequate onboarding, training, and development of all team members
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external
  • Participate in surveys for accreditation

Qualifications:

  • Clinical background preferred PT, OT, SLP.
  • Minimum 1- year management experience.
  • Experience in rehabilitation required with knowledge of regulation and insurance/length of stay management.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, results-oriented, and judgment skills.

Compensation: Experience and education may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
