About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a leader in the heavy materials and industrial sector, for a Full-Time Aggregate Maintenance Technician working the Swing Shift. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining mining and processing equipment in a state of readiness. You will perform appropriate inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on processing and conveying equipment, while preparing required daily and weekly department operating reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment by following the manufacturer's recommended service intervals and company procedures.

  • Maintain an inventory of regularly required replacement parts.

  • Inspect the condition and operation of plant equipment and perform necessary repairs and adjustments.

  • Perform required emergency repairs on production equipment to address plant breakdowns.

  • Report required repairs or other findings to the Supervisor.

  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and company policies, completing all required paperwork in a timely fashion.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies, actively promoting a culture of safety.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience: Previous experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction within industrial environments.

  • Technical Skills: Strong basic mechanical aptitude and general industrial maintenance skills, including stick welding, arc welding, light fabrication, cutting torch operation, and the use of hand tools.

  • Technology Skills: Basic computer and software skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating a skid-steer, man-lift, and other industrial heavy equipment.

Physical Requirements & Safety:

  • Strict adherence to all safety protocols is required.

  • Safety Note: Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, is mandatory. Employees required to wear tight-fitting respirators must pass quantitative and qualitative fit tests. Accommodations (such as alternative loose-fitting respirators) will be provided for qualified individuals with medical conditions or religious beliefs that conflict with standard shaving requirements.
