Job Summary

The Senior Power Platform Developer functions in a senior web and application development role, responsible for the design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise web-based solutions in a fast-paced environment. This role develops and maintains solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies-including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Power Virtual Agents-to support business processes and digital transformation initiatives. Collaborates with cross-functional teams including developers, systems engineers, database administrators, business analysts, project managers, vendors, and end users to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions. Provides advanced technical and functional guidance, supports system integrations, and contributes to the continuous improvement of application platforms and development practices.

Education & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of web-based application development and production support experience.
• 4+ years of experience developing solutions using: - Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven) - Power Automate - Power BI - Dataverse
• Proficiency in: - SQL - JavaScript - jQuery - HTML and CSS - API data integrations and JSON data handling
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation.

Preferred:

• 7+ years of Power Platform development and support experience.
• Experience with REST APIs, SOA, and web services integrations.
• Familiarity with Azure services, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with: - Dataverse architecture and data modeling - SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 integrations - Power BI reporting and dashboards
• Experience configuring authentication using Azure AD B2C or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and Jira project management.
• Microsoft Power Platform certifications are a plus.
• Experience in UI/UX or business analysis is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, organization, and direction of activities related to enterprise applications.
• Design, build, and deploy applications using Power Apps and Power Platform tools.
• Automate workflows and business processes using Power Automate.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Integrate solutions with Dataverse, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and external systems.
• Lead or mentor developers within project teams.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Support system upgrades, vendor integrations, and platform enhancements.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and end-user support.
• Develop documentation, user training materials, and operational procedures.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and reviews using Jira.
• Support change control and production deployments.
• Participate in on-call support rotation and production support activities.

Technical Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of application development methodologies and SDLC best practices.
• Expertise with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Dataverse, and SharePoint/Teams integrations.
• Proficiency in Power Fx, SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience implementing security, governance, and lifecycle management practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities.

• Works in a remote office environment, with weekend or nighttime work to implement changes.
• Extensive computer work with prolonged sitting.
• Occasional evening or weekend work required for deployments or upgrades.
• Participation in rotating on-call support schedules required.
• Regular and reliable attendance required.
• Security clearance required.
