COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. While we strive to provide competitive and transparent compensation, there may be circumstances where an offer is above or outside of the listed range. Senior Technical Settlements Analyst Pay Range: $85, 800.00 -$109, 450.00

Technical Settlements Analyst III Pay Range: $76, 000.00 - $96, 900.00

Technical Settlements Analyst II Pay Range: $68, 600.00 - $85, 750.00

Technical Settlements Analyst I Pay Range: $55, 800.00 - $68, 350.00

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Settlements Analyst to join our Settlements team. As key contributor you will:

Independently assist in the design and development of settlement calculations, shadow calculations, and research required to support market and/or transmission settlements, your day revolves around analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to provide actionable insights for decision-makers, creating code-based formulations for the Settlements Department’s functional duties, as well as providing support for production processing as assigned. This dynamic role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and programming proficiency.

Your key ongoing responsibilities will include:

  • Utilize statistical techniques and programming languages (SQL, SAS, Java, Linux, Oracle, Mongo, Groovy, and Tableau) to extract, transform, and analyze settlement data.
  • Design and develop calculations, shadow calculations, policies, and research required to support Settlements Department.
  • Develop and maintain data processes to ensure accurate and efficient settlement analysis.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the ability to collaborate with internal teams to: document requirements, develop/execute test cases, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and provide ongoing support for internally developed systems.
  • Support and perform Settlement production activities as needed.
  • Address technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions for ongoing production support.
  • Lead or participate in the identification, development and implementation of process improvements for the Settlements Department.
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies in large datasets and propose solutions.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards in Tableau to visualize settlement data and communicate actionable insights.
  • Lead or support continued training efforts to strengthen the overall team knowledge of systems applications and best practices.

To be successful as the Technical Settlements Analyst - I, II, or Senior, we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (relevant job-related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement)
  • Senior: Six (6) years of job related experience above education requirements OR Eight (8) years of relevant job-related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
  • Level III: Four (4) years of job related experience above education requirements OR Six (6) years of relevant job-related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
  • Level II: Two (2) years of job related experience above education requirements OR Four (4) years of relevant job-related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
  • Level I: No experience above education requirements OR Two (2) years of relevant job-related experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
  • Proven experience in using various technologies and systems (SQL, SAS, Java, Linux, Oracle, Mongo, Groovy, Tableau and Microsoft 365) for data analysis and visualization.

  • Familiarity with JIRA complemented with strong technical writing and documentation skills to support communication of overall development efforts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large and complex data sets.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in Mathematics
  • Advanced experience with SQL and Java

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of workweek are Monday through Friday; 8: 00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m. Working extended hours may be required.

Travel Requirement:

This position requires minimal (15%) travel
