Sr IT Infrastructure Adm Salary range: $97, 580 – $126, 795
Overview
Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for the research, configuration development, installation, support, and maintenance of computing resources that support daily operations and services provided by Southwest Power Pool. This includes researching, designing, and documenting systems and applications, and identification and implementation of automation opportunities within department/team processes. This position performs research, installs, configures, supports, and maintains systems and applications, proactively promotes efficiencies in department/team processes and procedures, and prioritizes automation efforts that are crucial to the success of the IT department and SPP. Many of the supported computing resources have significant economic impact and ensure against loss of life and property. The accurate and reliable functioning of these resources is critical to the operation of Southwest Power Pool and its members. Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator is expected to have subject matter expertise in one or more applications and/or compute resource areas. This hands-on position is expected to apply business and technical support concepts to perform research, provision access, install applications, install server hardware, provide customer support, create automated processes, and resolve system availability problems. Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator will function as the liaison with SPP departments, IT, and external vendor staff to ensure end user and organizational needs are met. Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator will provide technical training, coaching, and guidance to other members of the Server Administration team based on experience. Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator is expected to communicate effectively and work with all SPP departments, members, and vendors. Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator ensures the effective operation and maintenance of all assigned systems and applications. This position will develop and maintain centralized, efficient methods for managing systems to minimize downtime, utilizing IT standards. Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator will work with IT Technical Architects to research or review system architecture and design to identify and recommend hardware and software acquisitions/upgrades, process improvements and design changes to strengthen system security and stability as well as enhance systems and processes.
