COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. We are open to discussing salary expectations with qualified candidates considering factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location will all be considered during the hiring process.

Programmer Developer |Pay Range: $64, 060.00 - $78, 465.00

Programmer Developer II | Pay Range: $77, 900.00 - $99, 320.00

Sr. Programmer Developer | Pay Range: $97, 580.00 - $126, 795.00

Play a pivotal role in optimizing data management while also working with diverse data sources and ensuring the seamless extraction, transformation, and load of data for reporting purposes. To be successful as the Programmer Developer, we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology-related field or equivalent experience
  • Senior: Eight (8) years of applicable Information Technology development and support experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Level II: Three (3) years of Information Technology Development/Support experience
  • Level I: No experience
  • Effective working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Unix or Linux operating systems, application development and support, and database management systems
  • Proficient in one or more modern programming languages
  • Effective troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Effective working knowledge of SDLC and project life cycle methods and practices
  • Effective working knowledge of secure coding practices
  • Good customer service and organization skills
  • Understanding of and compliance with SPP Policies and Procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise data integration and ETL platforms (e.g., Informatica, SSIS, DataStage, or similar technologies)
  • Experience supporting analytics or business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, SAS, Power BI, or similar tools)
  • Advanced SQL skills including complex joins, query optimization, and performance tuning
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise data warehouse platforms (e.g., Netezza, Exadata, Snowflake, or similar technologies)
  • Two (2) or more years applicable utility industry experience
  • Basic understanding of SPP’s core business model

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of workweek are Monday through Friday; 8: 00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m. Working extended hours may be required.

Travel Requirement:

This position requires minimal travel (approximately 10%).
