Job Summary: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Cellular Therapies plays a key role in delivering specialized oncology care to patients receiving cellular therapy services. This position supports comprehensive assessment, treatment coordination, patient education, symptom management, and collaboration with physicians, consulting providers, and interdisciplinary team members. The APP contributes to safe, efficient, and patient-centered care across outpatient and inpatient settings as the cellular therapy program continues to grow. Job Duties / Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care to cellular therapy patients, primarily in the outpatient setting. Understand cellular therapy indications and treatments and guide patients through successful treatment completion. Serve as a liaison among consulting providers, patients, and families regarding disease status, treatment plans, and overall care coordination. May be required to round or participate in inpatient call for cellular therapy patients as the program expands. Appropriately order, review, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic procedures. Provide prompt management of acute symptoms related to the disease and/or treatment. Work independently while collaborating with Medical Oncologists and other providers, as indicated. Demonstrate knowledge of disease-specific and clinic protocols. Educate patients and families on treatment courses. Coordinate with consulting providers and interdisciplinary team members to support patient care needs. Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and fat pad biopsies. Prescribes medication as per state licensing guidelines but does not prescribe initial chemotherapy or biotherapy. Utilizes resources such as NCCN and UpToDate. Comply with company policies and procedures, and HIPAA regulations. Assists in the smooth functioning of the clinic in a cost-effective manner. Shall act within the lawful limits of the Arkansas State Board of Nursing APRN or DNP Collaborative Practice Agreement or the Arkansas Medical Board PA Protocol. Duties and responsibilities will continue to evolve and may change as deemed necessary, and as the role of the APP is further developed.
