Description:

DEPCOM Power is hiring Safety Specialists to play a crucial role in cultivating an EHS environment characterized by collaboration and active participation in our safety standards among all employees. This role is essential for embedding a culture of safety, ensuring that everyone is engaged and committed to maintaining the highest safety standards in all our operations. In addition to the following, you will have the opportunity to start a career in safety by learning OSHA rules and regulations, State and local laws, and Company policies.

This role will be located at a construction site anywhere in the U.S.

What You Will Do

• Be knowledgeable and current on all internal Koch/DEPCOM EHS Standards and relevant state and federal environmental law.

• Assist team with facilitating Safety & Health training for employees, contractors, etc., as required and needed.

• Aid incident investigations, root cause analysis, and determining corrective actions to prevent incident recurrence and makes recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions and actions.

• Foster an EHS environment of collaboration and active participation with all employees.

• Conduct walk-through inspections of field job sites to identify and eliminate hazardous conditions and unsafe acts performed by employees.

• Assist with managing site risks including facilitating risk assessments, job safety analyses, JHA reviews and PPE assessments.

• Provide appropriate care and support for onsite injuries within standard of care.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Current CPR or BLS (Basic Life Support) or equivalent credential

• Excellent customer service skills

• Excellent communication skills

What Will Put You Ahead

• Prior experience with Site Safety

• Construction industry experience

• State Certification for EMT or Paramedic or National EMT certification, (NREMT)
