Job Summary:

As an Estimating Team Lead (Western) at Kawneer, you'll lead a team of skilled estimators in producing accurate, timely, and competitive quotes for customer projects of our cutting-edge products. Your role will be key in ensuring the success of our projects by overseeing the day-to-day estimating operations, utilizing established standards, procedures, and tools to deliver precise cost assessments.

In this role, you will:

• Manage and guide the estimating team to ensure timely and accurate quotes for projects, adhering to project specifications and requirements.
• Provide mentorship and support to the estimating team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ensure all estimates meet the highest standards of accuracy and completeness by target deadline.
  • Implement quality control measures to verify the integrity of the quote data.
• Evaluate and confirm requests for quotes and proposals.
• Act as a liaison between the estimating team, customers, sales, and internal departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare bid proposals from customer request or architectural plans.
  • Including generating material take-off and generating pricing for technical services
• Coordinate pricing and schedules with outside vendors to meet quote request dates and project scopes.
• Ensure through documentation of all estimating processes, methodologies, and decisions.
  • Maintain organized records to support transparency, consistency, and future reference as needed.
• Negotiate projects with customers as needed.
• Maintain proficiency in all operating systems and tools.
