Remodeling Carpenter – Multifamily Renovations

Job Overview

  • Company: All Weather Contractors
  • Pay: 25–35+ per hour, based on experience and skill level
  • Location: Jacksonville, Arkansas
  • Employment Type: Full-Time / W-2
  • Project Type: Multifamily Renovation and Remodeling
  • Project Duration: Approximately 12–18 months, with potential opportunities on future projects
  • Licenses / Certifications: No trade license required

The Opportunity

All Weather Contractors is building a skilled, hands-on renovation crew for a large multifamily renovation project in Jacksonville, Arkansas. We are looking for experienced Remodeling Carpenters and Renovation Professionals who can contribute across multiple areas of interior construction, remodeling, and unit renovation.

This is not a traditional apartment maintenance position focused on service calls or work orders. This is a construction and renovation role for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, completing projects, and seeing tangible results at the end of the day. The crew will work through multifamily units completing planned renovation scopes such as demolition, drywall repairs, cabinet and vanity installation, trim work, flooring, fixtures, doors, hardware, and general interior improvements.

We are building a balanced team, so you do not need to be an expert in every trade. If you are particularly strong in carpentry, cabinets, drywall, flooring, general remodeling, or another renovation skill, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform interior renovation and remodeling work in multifamily residential units.
  • Complete demolition, preparation, repairs, and finish work.
  • Install cabinets, vanities, trim, doors, hardware, and other interior components.
  • Perform drywall repairs, patching, and general wall preparation.
  • Assist with flooring installation and related renovation work.
  • Replace plumbing fixtures such as faucets, toilets, and similar components when the work does not require a licensed trade.
  • Perform basic electrical fixture work such as switches, cover plates, lighting fixtures, or similar non-permitted work when appropriate.
  • Complete punch-list items and final-detail work.
  • Work efficiently through repeatable unit-renovation scopes once project standards are established.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas.
  • Work safely around occupied and vacant units.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and fellow crew members.
  • Help maintain project schedules and quality expectations.
  • Support teammates whose strengths may be in different areas of the renovation process.

What We’re Looking For

  • Approximately 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in remodeling, renovation, carpentry, construction, property improvement, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience performing several types of interior construction or renovation work.
  • Ability to complete assigned work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong attention to quality and workmanship.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a production-oriented renovation crew.
  • Reliable transportation to the Jacksonville, Arkansas project each workday.
  • Basic personal hand tools and power tools appropriate for renovation work.
  • Ability to safely perform physical construction work, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working on active jobsites.

Skills We Value

We are interested in candidates with experience in any combination of the following:

  • Remodeling and renovation
  • Finish carpentry
  • Cabinet installation
  • Vanity installation
  • Trim and molding
  • Doors and hardware
  • Drywall repair
  • Flooring
  • Demolition and jobsite preparation
  • General property repairs
  • Interior finish work
  • Basic plumbing fixture replacement
  • Basic electrical fixture replacement
  • Apartment turns
  • Multifamily renovations
  • Residential remodeling

You do not need to be an expert in every category. We are building a crew with complementary skills. One technician may be strongest in cabinetry and trim, another in drywall and general repairs, while another may have broader all-around remodeling experience.

Working Foreman Opportunity

We are also looking for an experienced member of this crew who may be capable of serving as a Working Foreman. This person will remain hands-on while helping organize and guide the crew.

Strong Working Foreman candidates may have experience:

  • Leading a small construction or remodeling crew.
  • Assigning work based on individual strengths.
  • Keeping renovation production moving efficiently.
  • Monitoring quality and workmanship.
  • Communicating with project managers and superintendents.
  • Identifying issues before they delay production.
  • Training or assisting less-experienced team members.
  • Remaining productive in the field while providing day-to-day leadership.

Candidates with leadership experience should highlight that experience when applying.

Project Environment

This position will support a large multifamily renovation project in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

The work will primarily involve planned interior renovations rather than emergency maintenance or service calls.

Depending on the phase of the project, technicians may work in both vacant and occupied units. Professionalism, cleanliness, respect for residents, and attention to the surrounding property are therefore important.

The current project is expected to last approximately 12–18 months.

All Weather Contractors performs construction and renovation work across multiple states. Following completion of this project, strong performers may have opportunities to continue with future projects depending on project availability, employee performance, and willingness to work in other markets.

Tools and Transportation

  • Employees must have reliable transportation to and from the Jacksonville, Arkansas jobsite.
  • A company vehicle is not provided for this position.
  • Candidates should have normal personal hand tools and basic power tools appropriate for their trade experience.
  • Specialized tools and project-specific equipment will be made available as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

  • 25–35+ per hour, depending on experience, skill level, and responsibilities.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Overtime potential.
  • Performance and project-completion incentive opportunities.
  • Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).
  • Medical insurance options.
  • Dental insurance options.
  • Vision insurance options.
  • Life insurance.
  • Disability insurance.
  • Paid holidays.
  • Vacation time.
  • Paid OSHA, safety, manufacturer, and technical training.
  • Career-development opportunities.
  • Potential opportunities to work on future All Weather Contractors projects.
