Dozer Operator

T.E. Stevens Construction is seeking a dependable and highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator Class A with at least five (5) years of experience operating various heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, and motor graders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery and must strictly adhere to OSHA and MSHA regulations on all job sites. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Safely operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and motor graders on construction and site development projectsRead and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and instructions from supervisors to perform duties accuratelyCut, grade, slope, and finish to required specifications using dozers and motor gradersExcavate trenches, remove earth, load trucks, and perform other related tasks with excavatorsConduct pre-operation inspections and perform routine maintenance on assigned equipmentEnsure safe operation and awareness of surroundings, including working near utilities and other personnelCommunicate effectively with ground crew, foreman, and other operators for coordinated workFollow all company safety policies and comply with MSHA and OSHA safety regulationsProperly use GPS or laser-guided grading systems when applicableMaintain a clean and organized work area and equipment Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Outdoor job sites with exposure to varying weather conditionsRegularly required to sit, climb, bend, kneel, push, pull, and liftExposure to loud noise, dust, heavy machinery, and uneven terrainMust be able to wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) at all times
