Inc. is seeking a SETA SR Business Developer to join our Corporate Business Operations team at our corporate HQ in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL. This is not a teleworking position. Duty site is 615 Discovery Drive, Huntsville, Al 35806.

Military experience is a plus.

Job Description:

S3 is a prime contractor of 8 IDIQ / BPA contracts servicing task orders. This position services these contract vehicles as a minimum and is responsible for adding additional contract vehicles. Customers include AVMC, DVCON, IEWS, MDA, Missiles & Space, PEO Aviation, SMDC, and STRI.

Responsible and accountable for assigned new business target identification, capture strategy, team creation, assessment of POM, achievement of POW, proposal execution and compliance to schedule, pricing BOE, debrief, and lessons learned briefing to corporate leadership. Briefs leadership on the business opportunity at the appropriate monthly bid board meeting, generates the B& P estimate, conducts team proposal kickoff, and functions as capture manager, proposal manager, and may transition to program manager. Assesses the effectiveness of the corporate proposal process and recommends improvement to the process based on lessons learned.

Responsibilities:

Assesses and advises opportunities with the EVP of Business Development in strategic planning, tactical planning, and color team proposal reviews. Maintains the waterfall addressing compliance.

Supports business development capture requirements in specific area of expertise. Contributes to marketing philosophies. May supervise the work product of lower level employees. Will perform the following duties.
  • Identify business targets, contact customers through cold or warm calls, network through business and social contacts, identify expected or unexpected solicited procurements through agency websites, and working well in advance of RFI releases.
  • Prepare company capabilities briefs, identify, validate, and pursue competitive procurements, track upcoming Request for Proposals (RFP) releases to be reworked, and coordinate the publications process with capture managers.
  • Conduct regular searches of websites listing RFP schedules and releases, determine whether a target is viable, once a target is determined viable, provide the Capture Manager (CM) Plan to Corporate for Bid/No Bid Decision, and update the waterfall.

Education: Bachelor's Degree, Masters preferred.
