Reviews and verifies the mortgage application and all other documentation included in the application. Performs all processing and pre-closing tasks required to manufacture a loan in compliance with RFCU standards and best practices from point of application to submission to underwriting.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews data integrity of loan files; reviews and analyzes credit, income, asset, and property documentation. Ensures file meets all investor, mortgage insurance, compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Creates and sends disclosures/re-disclosures to loan applicants in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Acts as a liaison between borrowers and all parties involved in the transaction. Communicates with borrowers for any items that are needed for the loan submission and keeps them regularly updated on the loan status.
- Submits loan files to the underwriter for final approval and validation.
- Uses established procedures to carry out routine work duties. Seeks guidance from team members to resolve issues and to identify appropriate issues for escalation.
- Assesses member’s needs and concerns; provides consultative services to members regarding mortgage products and services.
- Handles member complaints through phone calls, correspondence and follow-up; utilizes knowledge of Credit Union products and services to provide solutions to members concerns and problems; follows through to ensure member satisfaction.
- Interacts with other departments and vendors to research and resolve problems and provide requested information.

High School or GED - Required
Experience Requirement
2 Years - Mortgage Lending experience - Required
Working knowledge of FNMA guidelines - Required
FHA, VA, USDA experience - Preferred

- Learn and apply information, on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements, in order to assess member situations and develop solutions.
