Designs and administers the intranet. Ensures content is current and accurate and analyzes existing and potential future content. Creates and edits images to visually engage users. Strategically coordinates with team members to collectively achieve desired results. Ensures organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees via the intranet and/or email.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the configuration and maintenance of the Credit Union’s intranet software, including but not limited to; release testing, user administration and permission maintenance.
- Makes recommendations and/or resolves a variety of intranet problems; instructs users on resolutions and conducts end user training as required.
- Acts as liaison with vendors. Researches, analyses, troubleshoots issues, and escalates problems. Coordinates with the Technology Division and vendors to implement and upgrade software.
- Monitors user-generated content and analyzes and reports on intranet analytics. Ensures content is up-to-date and relevant. Moderates and audits channels of communication ensuring all content is relevant and reflects the Credit Union’s culture.
- Responsible for developing design concepts, graphics, and layouts using software including but not limited to: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Dreamweaver.
- Develops, maintains, and publishes print and web-based forms. Plans, writes, and edits content for a variety of mediums including but not limited to; intranet articles and pages, procedures manuals, blog posts and Adque.
- Stays abreast of intranet and communication trends; making recommendations for process improvements, engagement opportunities and system enhancements.
- Participates in evaluating work processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement. Prepares and maintains a variety of records, reports and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job satisfactorily, an employee must be able to carry out each essential duty competently.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- 3 years’ experience in web design or closely related field.
- 1 year responsible experience in performing user support, testing and related functions regarding website maintenance.
- Working knowledge and experience of Adobe Creative Suite and HTML5.
- Prior technical writing experience preferred.
SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Basic principles and practices of business process analysis, systems analysis and design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively. Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others. Use tact and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.
- Use correct English including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Ensure all internal and external customer service practices and processes are carried out and meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction.
- Learn and apply information, on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements, in order to assess member situations and develop solutions.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office suites, included but not limited to Photoshop, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Publisher, Word and Excel.
- Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once.
- Resolve problems utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.
- Lead and model RISE values and the Code of Ethics through daily interactions and conduct.
- Promote and foster excellent member service and teamwork.
- Operate computers and use business software and other standard office equipment.
- Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
