Description:
The Prototyping Manufacturing and Integration Division (PMID) of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc., has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Procurement Assistant working on-site at our Madison, AL facility. A Procurement Asst., under general supervision, will perform various routine to complex purchasing duties related to the purchase of a specific type (or types) of products; or purchasing duties related to the purchase of a wide range of products for a specific project. Will build procurement workflows and maintain the procurement process and ensures material is ordered on time. Receives inbound requests for additional material and determines proper course of action with purchasing. The Procurement Assistant will work with engineering and fabrication teams “on-the-floor” to interpret Bills of Materials (BOM). Will consolidate material needs from internal stakeholders to create purchase requests for corporate purchasing team to execute. Effectively communicate and proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
This position will require at minimum the ability to obtain & maintain a SECRET clearance from the US Department of War.
