Position Summary
Neptune Technology Group is seeking an experienced Electronics Lab Supervisor to lead our electronics
laboratory operations and provide technical oversight for product testing, quality assurance, and
research and development activities. This role will be responsible for managing lab personnel,
maintaining testing equipment, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company
protocols.
The Electronics Lab Supervisor will oversee and assist in the the design, execution, and documentation of electronic testing procedures for our water measurement and technology solutions. Working closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams, you will play a critical role in validating product performance, troubleshooting complex electronic issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a hands-on leader who can balance technical expertise with team management while maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized laboratory environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Supervise and mentor electronics lab technicians, including task assignment, performance
evaluation, and professional development
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure efficient workflow and
timely completion of testing activities
• Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for electronic testing
and quality assurance protocols
• Assist in the design and execution of test plans for new and existing products, including
functional testing, environmental testing, and reliability assessments
• Manage calibration schedules and maintenance programs for laboratory test equipment and
measurement instruments
• Analyze test data, identify trends, and prepare comprehensive technical reports and
documentation for engineering and management teams
• Troubleshoot complex electronic failures and provide root cause analysis to support product
development and manufacturing teams
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality
management systems
• Maintain accurate records of all testing activities, equipment calibration, and inventory
management in accordance with ISO and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R& D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply
Chain to resolve technical issues and support product launches
• Manage laboratory budget, including equipment procurement, supplies ordering, and cost
control initiatives
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment in compliance with safety
regulations and best practices
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency, accuracy, and
throughput
Education/Experience:
• Typically requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and/or 4+ years of relevant
experience.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or related
technical field
• 4+ years of experience in electronics testing or laboratory environment, with at least 2 years in a
supervisory or lead role
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuit theory, test methodologies, and troubleshooting
techniques for analog and digital systems
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal
generators, power supplies, and spectrum analyzers
• Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) development and LabVIEW or similar testing
software platforms
• Familiarity with water metering technology, IoT devices, or wireless communication systems (RF
testing experience a plus)
• Working knowledge of industry standards such as IPC, UL, FCC, and relevant quality management
systems (ISO 9001, ISO 17025)
• Demonstrated experience with statistical analysis tools and data management systems for test
result interpretation
• Proven leadership abilities with strong interpersonal skills and experience building and developing
technical teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical information to
diverse audiences
• Experience with environmental testing including temperature cycling, humidity testing, vibration,
and accelerated life testing
• Knowledge of product compliance testing and certification processes for electronic devices
• Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
simultaneously
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency in Atlassian and JIRA is a plus
• Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement certification is a plus
Travel Requirements: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time
