The Green End Foreman does the following tasks and actions throughout the week.
• Performs safety walk through daily
• Does OSHA training monthly
• Leads pre-shift meetings
• Schedules team members days off, YTO, and assigns team members to work positions that will provide the best results for the team goals
• Completes maintenance work on the Green End and Log yard
• Can operate each position on the Green End and Log yard
• When Supervisors are on vacation, this job can run the crew without Supervision if required
• Trains new team members in any role that is required
• Uses Maximo for work order entry
• Assigns all Operator PMs each week and manages them
• Can setup Lathe, clipper, stacker, CNS to perform within specifications and on-grade quality
