Traffic Specialist 3

Position Overview BLOC Resources is seeking an experienced and highly organized Traffic Specialist 3 to provide transportation and logistical support for Southern Company business units. This position plays a critical role in coordinating the movement of materials and equipment during routine operations, planned and forced outages, and emergency storm-restoration activities. The Traffic Specialist will evaluate transportation requirements, determine the most efficient and appropriate shipping method, coordinate with carriers and internal stakeholders, and help ensure materials and equipment arrive safely and on schedule. The successful candidate should have significant knowledge of transportation and logistics operations, including LTL, Truckload, Parcel, Hotshot, Dedicated, Air Freight, hazardous materials transportation, and oversized/overweight shipments. Because this position supports utility operations and emergency response, candidates must be willing to participate in on-call and shift coverage during outages, storms, and other operational emergencies.
