Altec Industries, Inc. is hiring a Operations Training Supervisor in Birmingham, AL. This is a full-time position.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Manages, develops and administers training curriculum, training material, and e-courses for associates in salary and production roles. Training courses would include topics around safety, continuous improvement, the Altec production system, quality, soft skills and skills specific to improving performance in individual roles.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops training curriculum and chooses appropriate training method (on the job training, classroom, e-learning, simulations, one-on-one) that fulfills training objectives.
Designs, develops, and maintains training materials and educational aids such as e-courses, presentations, examinations, and reference materials
Confirms project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data and output requirements with subject matter experts.
Provides leadership and coaching for Altec associates and develops skills for their current and future positions within Altec
Maps out training plans, designs, and develops training programs for operations associates.
Schedules, coordinates, and facilitates training for Altec operations associates.
Teaches groups of associates in a classroom or live online setting to fulfill training objectives.
Assesses instructional effectiveness and summarizes evaluation reports to determine training effectiveness.
Attends, facilitates, and leads process improvement events to create and improve non-technical training program and material and improves quality of processes and work procedures.
Conducts new hire orientation
Flexibility and planning to accomplish training goals in a 3 shift operation. All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Preference will be given to candidates with 6-8 years' experience in operations and training or equivalent programs
Training facilitation, course development, or training activities coordination experience
Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
Knowledge of and experience with learning management systems and e-courses
Familiarity with job training methods and techniques
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Keen attention to detail and high level of accountability
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects, activities, and work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work with team members in a team environment.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Proficient computer skills with the ability to use current software and learn new software that supports the facilitation of training and development of e-courses, presentations, exams, etc.
