Responsibilities

Altec is currently looking for a part time Recruiting Coordinator in Birmingham, AL to join our team (26 - 31 hours per week).

We are seeking a detail-oriented Recruiting Coordinator who will thrive in a positive culture and great team environment. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, people-oriented, and provide top-notch customer service to everyone going through the hiring process.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinates recruiting requests while maintaining efficient communication between candidates, recruiters, HR Business Partners, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Updates candidate records in recruiting systems and confirming new hires
  • Maintains data integrity to ensure accurate data tracking and reporting
  • Tracks candidates throughout the recruiting process and ensure the completion of all pre-hire due diligence
  • Plans and independently executes special projects as assigned by management
  • Schedules a high volume of interviews to support the recruiting team and the business
  • Responds promptly to candidates' emails and internal stakeholders regarding any inquiries during the recruiting process
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality
  • Conducts employment related research and assists recruitment team with methods of sourcing of qualified candidates as assigned by management
  • Provides support coordination of recruitment projects and related services to supervisors, hiring managers, recruitment team members, and others
  • Assists in the coordination of other recruiting activities as needed
  • Provides general HR and event support

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Two years' experience required
  • Four-year degree may substitute for experience requirement (and is the preferred education)
  • Microsoft Office Suite and other office management applications required
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
  • Must be able to work with team members and work with minimal supervision
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask.
  • Strong MS Office experience especially in Excel
  • Excellent ability to solve problems and meet deadlines by juggling multiple, competing and changing priorities.
  • High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, as well as external suppliers.
  • Prioritize timely follow-up and follow-through, thoroughness in work product and attention to detail.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
