Job Description:

The Intern will a member of the System team in HSV and will be responsible for setting up testbeds, troubleshooting hardware and software issues encountered in the testbeds, test case generation and implementation, including test case automation and scripting. Test cases will be designed to verify system level functional specifications for advanced telecommunications networks and services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Set up testbeds and test equipment.
• Troubleshoot and analyze test bed issues - hardware and software.
• Execute tests manually and trigger automated test runs.
• Write automated test cases.
• Update and create new documentation related to test suite and test infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

• A Junior or Senior undergraduate student in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Information Science.
• Prior industry experience or ADTRAN co-op experience preferred but NOT mandatory.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Computer Networks and/ or Telecommunications and Computer Architecture (Knowledge of TCP and IP a MUST).
• Good knowledge of Python, C or C++, and Unix shell scripts.
• Knowledge of Groovy and Expect preferrable but NOT mandatory.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to lift weights of up to 20 pounds.
