Medicaid Billing Specialist

Location: Centennial Post Acute

Pay: $25-35/hour

Position Overview:
  • Claim Submission and Follow-Up: Prepare, submit, and monitor Medicaid claims to ensure all documentation is accurate. Address any denials or rejections in a timely manner.
  • Billing Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate billing discrepancies and collaborate with Medicaid offices to resolve them. Adjust patient bills when needed.
  • Policy Adherence: Stay informed on Medicaid billing policies, procedures, and coding requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on Medicaid billings, adjustments, and payments, and provide regular updates to management on outstanding claims.
  • Communication: Work closely with residents, insurance companies, and internal teams to facilitate the billing process and resolve any issues.


Qualifications:
  • Experience with Medicaid claims processing or similar healthcare billing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid billing guidelines, policies, and reimbursement procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail to ensure accurate billing records and claim tracking
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with residents, family members, insurance companies, and healthcare teams.
  • Time management skills to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems as they arise.
