Description:

In conjunction with the SVP Marketing and Public Relations, the VP Product Management is responsible for the strategy, road map and feature definition for Nuvision’ consumer products (excluding mortgage). This role develops and executes consumer deposit and lending product market strategies for all channels (i.e. branch, digital) for the Retail Business Segment. In close consultation with leadership, establishes cross-functional processes and defines consumer lending and deposit product sets including credit card management. Collaborates with internal corporate business partners to deliver product strategy to grow Most Valued Members (MVMs) and achieve the credit union’s growth goals.. Accountable for building deep, profitable relationships with members and achieving annual business results (P& L) that meet or surpass consumer lending and deposit product expectations year-over-year.

Recommends pricing for consumer loans and deposit products including: loan types, risk parameters, compliance factors, steps that must be taken to give branches member centric pricing flexibility in local markets. Standardize the process for developing and approving member pricing deals and promotions at the local level. Establishes a decision rights framework to define the pricing decisions that need to be made, and to identify the individuals responsible and authorized to make them. Research product ideas for deposits including features/benefits, competitive factors for each region, regulatory implications, technology/system requirements and cost/benefit analysis.

This role directs research to understand the competitive landscape of all Nuvision markets and uses findings and insights to help define product sets, and establish product pricing, segmentation, and distribution channels for consumer lending and deposit products. Drives “cultural” and “change” processes that build and evolve business as needed. Leads product lending and deposit teams (hires, manages, and trains) as well as product vendors (identifies, selects, and manages).


Responsibilities:

  • Owns annual financial and business results for consumer lending and deposit products.
  • Manages budgets, meeting or exceeding P& L projections.
  • Develops recommendations to improve product profitability.
  • Track and improve our product metrics across acquisition, engagement, conversion, and revenue.
  • Develops the strategy, road map and business requirements of Nuvision retail consumer products.
  • Owns product vision and continuous improvements of products and features.
  • Provides cross-functional leadership (marketing, sales, operations, finance) to drive effective product enhancements and new product roll outs.
  • Assist multiple teams in defining specifications for complex products or cross-platform capabilities.
  • Chair of the Product Management Committee.
  • Key stakeholder on Deposit and Lending Pricing Committee
  • Leads consumer lending and deposit product management team (hires, trains, and manages).
  • Oversees vendors (identifies, selects, and manages).
  • Builds strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Monitors performance and provides feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Expects and enables team members to support the works of peers.
  • Provide appropriate communications and updates to upline leaders pertaining to areas of responsibilities.
  • Drives cultural and change processes.
  • Oversees market research and analysis, leveraging findings and insights to define product sets, and establish product pricing for segments within individual markets, and within distribution channels.
  • Reports product analytics and makes recommendations for future growth.
  • Manages and updates consumer deposit and lending product management system as well as reference materials continuously delivering to markets current and relevant information.
  • Designs, develops, manages, and reports on consumer lending and deposit products including but not limited to, credit cards, auto, insurance, Visa, lines of credit, Share Certificates, Money Market, Checking, etc.
  • In conjunction with Small Business Segment Leaders, establishes lending and deposit products for small business channels and assists in setting rules, clearly assigned to the segment.
  • Develops and implements channel conflict strategies.
  • Actively engages in continuous improvement activities.
  • Represents the Credit Union in a positive and professional manner.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive member, team member, and other corporate information.
  • Treats coworkers and members with respect.
  • Supports, participates and volunteers in, member community activities, member relations, and events that promote member-centric experiences.
  • Fulfills other, related duties, as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7 years of progressively responsible product management experience in lending and deposits.
  • Strong knowledge of product management standards and practices (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Pragmatic Marketing).
  • Broad knowledge of economic, industry, and technology trends.
  • Expert knowledge of statistical analysis and tools (e.g., SAS, SPSS), competitive analysis, and survey methods.
  • Knowledge of how to build and manage a product road map that supports organizational goals and strategies.
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Able to problem solve.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Able to draw actionable insights from multiple sources of data, research, and competitor intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of progressively responsible product management experience.
  • Senior management and strategic decision-making experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Statistics, or related field or 4 or more years of related experience & /or training or education.
  • Professional certification or graduate degree.
  • Financial services, fintech, or lending experience preferred.
  • Experience working in an organization with a regional model and some matrix reporting.

  • Alaska: $134, 167.88 - $201, 251.82
  • Arizona: $118, 286.78 - $177, 430.17
  • Florida: $11, 810.54 - $169, 215.81
  • Nevada: $121, 024.90 - $181, 537.35
  • Southern California: $129, 239.26 - $193, 858.89
  • Texas: $113, 905.79 - $170, 858.68
  • Wyoming: $116, 643.91 - $174, 965.86

The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, job related training/education, etc.
