Crowley Personnel LLC is hiring a North-East Line Driver - Palmer in Palmer, AK. This is a full-time position.

What You'll Do:

You will be responsible for driving a designated route to load and/or unload Fuel safely and timely. Depending on the assigned lane, you may work remotely for four nights/five days.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a commercial motor vehicle which requires a Class A Commercial Driver's License and a Hazardous Materials endorsement.
  • Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in difficult situations such as heavy traffic, inclement weather and in or out of tight areas.
  • Transport fuel in a timely and safe manner from load racks to retail and customer sites.
  • Properly manage daily pre-trip and post-trip for the assigned vehicle.
  • Submit daily record of duty status (HOS) via ELD mileage records and other records per DOT requirements.
  • Properly upload delivery paperwork into dispatch system.
  • Maintain daily communication with driver supervisor and dispatcher.
  • Maintain proper material and supplies for assigned vehicle.
  • Attend monthly and/or year assigned training.
  • Properly interact with customers.
  • Maintain proper PPE at all times, both in the truck and out of the truck.
  • Must be willing to travel when needed.
Qualifications

Education & Credentials:
  • High school diploma or equivalent or experience in lieu of education.
  • Class A CDL with the following endorsements: X (Tanker and Hazmat) and Doubles or Triples.
  • Must meet current driver qualifications as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
  • Must have a current medical card.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Must possess Longer Combination Vehicle Certificate (LCV) or be able to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
Experience:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating CDL vehicles required.
  • Experience delivering fuel preferred.
  • Experience driving in mountainous winter conditions.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word preferred
  • Ability to use tablets for work instructions (ELD, maintenance, hours of service tracking) preferred.
Working Schedule:
  • The work schedule needs to be flexible withing the FMCSA available hours of service.
  • Depending on the dispatched routes, you may sleep in a sleeper truck as needed.
  • Possible routes - Local Bulk Deliveries, Over the Road (OTR), Haul Road.
