The Opportunity
We look forward to you joining our Benalla team in the position of QualityEngineer. This critical role will see you playing a proactive role to ensure that Products, Processes and Suppliers meet quality requirements, customer expectations, and ISO 9001 standards.
This rarely available career opportunity will see you leveraging your background as you play a key role to support manufacturing quality, the resolution of defects and ultimately making an Impact to drive continuous improvement across Benalla operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain and improve our Quality Management System (ISO 9001 compliance) as you oversee and improve our Auditing in relation to our manufacturing processes
- Act as a key point of contact to provide Customer Support, administration of Customer Warranty processes and act as a local advisor to our shop floor teams (inspections, release checks etc.)
- Support customer issues and field failure investigations in relation to Customer repairs and other related issues
- Review defects and take a proactive approach to prevent reoccurring issues, conducting root cause analysis and other related tasks
- Collaborate with various internal teams; Project Management, Production and other Leaders, ensuring we are aligned in any modifications to Customer requirements
- Ensure adherence to Quality Standards, complete various internal/external Audits and ensure we adhere to specific internal processes and other close-out actions
- Support any ad-hoc projects when required, primarily focusing on areas of continuous improvement and other areas that prepare us for future Customer requirements
- Supplier management to ensure a robust manufacturing process through a level of strategic planning, including supplier quality issues and corrective actions
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Electrician or similar Technical Trade) coupled with proven experience in a similar leadership position
- Proven leadership capabilities and experienced in managing technical resources, ideally within a similar organisation/market (Services, Maintenance etc.)
- Well-developed project management skills and demonstrated experience across operational delivery in support of diverse technical projects and related Customers
- Intermediate IT skills, confident in your proven ability to leverage data to shape decisions, generate reports and provide specialist commentary when required
- Well-developed problem-solving abilities, strong on the technical but also someone who can achieve outcomes through people within a high-tempo environment
- Those with additional qualifications (Project Management, Engineering etc.) will be viewed favourably
