The Opportunity

Our Benalla manufacturing site, located in regional Victoria just 2.5 hours north of Melbourne's CBD, is a cornerstone of our Australian operations. As a proud local manufacturer, the plant delivers advanced energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability, specialising in Transformers, Kiosks and Switchgear. Benalla stands as a testament to our commitment to innovation, quality engineering and regional economic growth.

As our new Human Resources Business Partner, you will be based on-site to provide specialist HR support to our leadership team and broader production-based workforce. This hands-on/site-based role will see you balancing a variety of generalist tasks, maintaining a focus on key strategic initiatives and making your own Impact on our long-term success. The role will also see you providing specialist HR support for our newly established One Solutions group, a centralised team focused on project delivery and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with operational teams and our leaders as a specialist HR professional as you confidently navigate a variety of workforce challenges
  • Drive local people initiatives that enhance capability, ensuring consistent performance and balancing both operational and strategic requirements
  • Oversee a variety of key HR processes such as; policy application, local industrial instruments, reporting and other compliance requirements which will also include relevant global processes
  • Execute a mix of strategic advisory work, a local point of contact for generalist HR support and support various projects as you enjoy the variety to challenge you
  • Ensure proactive workforce planning, support general recruitment activity and other cyclical talent initiatives across that aligns to cyclical activities
  • Coach our leaders in relation to performance, engagement and team effectiveness as you positively impact our culture while acting as a specialist advisor
  • Provide specialist HR support for our newly established One Solutions group, a centralised team focused on project delivery and execution


About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualification coupled with proven experience in a similar HR Business Partner or Advisory role
  • Intermediate IT skills with previous exposure to HR systems, reporting and other data driven requirements within a process driven environment
  • Knowledge and experience across broad workforce needs; Awards, Employment Legislation, National Employment Standards, relevant instruments and related policies
  • Demonstrated experience in partnering with leaders through strong stakeholder management, coaching others and achieving outcomes through people
  • True collaborator and team player, able to partner with various functions on a local and global scale within a complex organisational structure
