• Proactively securing new business from corporate, association, government, and entertainment markets.
• Managing and converting repeat events to ensure ongoing client loyalty.
• Applying strategic yield management to maximise profitability.
• Building strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and IHG sales teams to generate leads.
• Showcasing the NCCC through site inspections, familiarisations, and client entertainment.
• Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to keep our venue one step ahead.
• Representing NCCC at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions — both locally and interstate.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• Proven experience in sales or business development — ideally in convention sales, large events, or hospitality.
• A track record of achieving (and exceeding) revenue targets.
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
• CRM experience and an understanding of yield and revenue management principles.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
• The flexibility to work outside standard business hours when events require it.
