Description:

Director Business Communications and Marketing

Company Name: PBS Systems

Job Location: Calgary, Alberta

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

No. of Openings: 01

Internal Job Title: Director of Marketing Operations

Reports To: Vice President - Communications

Job Requirement(s):

“PBS is the fastest growing “All Inclusive Business Platform” vendor in North America and we’ve only just begun! “

The Opportunity:

We are changing the way people buy and service cars one dealership at a time. In business for over 30 years, PBS is the third largest DMS (Dealership Management System) provider to the North American retail automotive industry. Each month we welcome hundreds of new users to our software platform, and we need your help.

We are unique in the industry because we view our customers as business partners, technology innovators, and friends. Our software can run all aspects of an automotive dealership with sales, service, inventory management, and accounting modules.

The Role:

The objective of this position is to drive business growth by bolstering customer retention strategies, maintaining our brand image, and supporting new sales initiatives. This role is essential to the company's ongoing success and contributes significantly to maintaining our 99% customer retention rate and annual double-digit growth (aka our ‘secret sauce’).

From a customer retention standpoint, you will utilize your comprehensive understanding of dealership structure, the unique relationships dealers have with their OEMs and vendors, and the dealership departmental workflows to coach and mentor proactive customer/industry communication strategies and internal messaging.

Together with your team, you will coordinate broad and targeted business campaigns, including video, imagery, email, web, in-software notifications, and events (in-person, virtual, and on-demand) to promote PBS system use and adoption.

By managing our customers’ perception of our company and products, and facilitating meaningful interactions, you help to expand our market share by ensuring customers remain loyal and maximize the value received in their experience with PBS.

This is achieved through consistent and engaging communication, while promoting our warm, energetic, inspirational, and collaborative culture in all activities.

From a new business perspective, this role collaborates strategically with senior sales leadership on new business outreach campaigns, including ROI reporting and sales engagement support. We develop plans and execute pre-sales objectives that support our unique sales process.

Finally, we also engage directly with OEM, industry experts, and post-secondary institutions to represent PBS confidently and professionally, ensuring we remain top of mind in non-sales or customer interactions.

Success in this role depends on regular collaboration with the PBS leadership team and our customers and evolving your own personal compass of who we are and what we do, so that you may drive key decisions relating to some of our largest customers and initiatives.

Due to the collaborative nature, and leadership requirements of this role, this is an in-office position based in our Calgary Head Office.
