The Role:

The Team Lead, Collections works as part of the bigger Accounts Receivable and Collections team. As a Team Lead, you will support the team with their day-to-day administrative tasks, ad-hoc requests, and work closely with Management.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Review outstanding A/R (especially > 60 days) and follow-up internally within PBS and/or with customers
  • Act as a back-up for Manager, Accounting – Corporate
  • Manage collections team including reviewing daily deposit postings
  • Handle Accounts Receivable (A/R) inquiries via phone calls and emails professionally
  • Create and maintain relationships with internal teams and customers
  • Engage within PBS organization to ensure all team members follow required processes
  • Ad-Hoc projects
  • Willingness to commit to an ongoing system of education and cross-training


Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in an Accounting, Commerce or Business Administration program
  • 5 to 7 years of accounting experience, including Accounts Receivable
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Thorough understanding of business principles and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting kills
  • Strong documentation abilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective time management and organization
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization
