Clean Harbors is hiring a Summer Intern - Environmental Field Chemist in Red Deer, AB. This is a full-time position.
Clean Harbors in Red Deer, AB is seeking a reliable, safety-oriented, and team-focused student to join its growing team as an Environmental Field Chemist Intern (CleanPack Chemist) for Summer 2027! This is a great opportunity for students interested in gaining exposure to the industrial chemistry, chemical waste management, and environmental services industries. *Please note you will primarily be working in the field (indoors and outdoors), and NOT in a laboratory environment*

The Chemist internship program is designed for students interested in maintaining a sustainable environment. The intern will be responsible for tasks associated with handling, segregating, packing, and inspecting chemical waste. This position will work both indoors and outdoors at plants, labs, and customer sites assisting with lab packs, household hazardous waste (HHW) collections and lab moves. Students will have the opportunity to shadow other positions within the Company. Interns can expect to participate in networking events and complete a final presentation at the conclusion of the program.
