We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Manufacturing Manager to be in Grecia, Costa Rica.

Purpose:

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for all manufacturing operations associated with Joints Reconstruction production at the site.

You will be responsible for:

In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position

• Responsible for managing and leading production personnel to maximize quality and output in manufacturing operation in accordance with ISO 13485: 2003 and FDA QSR Part 820 requirements
• Will be responsible for leading, planning, and directing activities of department personnel, including Production Managers, Production Supervisors and Department Leads in order to meet and exceed overall departmental objectives.
• Responsible for creating a culture of development and inclusion, to retain talent and develop a robust succession plan throughout the organization.
• Responsible for maintaining good communications and consistent policy application to employees on all shifts.
• Responsible for overall planning, scheduling, manufacturing, and packaging of existing and newly developed products in areas of assignment in compliance with all regulatory and GMP requirements in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with planned budget.
• Maintain and improve quality standards and production processes.
• Responsible for proper maintenance of all production machinery by coordinating these functions as necessary with Facilities/Engineering Department.
• Forecast machinery, manpower, material and equipment needed to meet requirements of new and existing products.
• Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products while identifying direction and strategy for product flow throughout the production area.
• Analyze production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and to prevent operational delays.
• Consistently meet training completion rates while staying current with corporate initiatives and maintaining business partner relationships.
• Set the standards for performance assessment and feedback, effective communication, promoting positive morale and supporting employee involvement programs.
• Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.
• Consistently ensure that training of designated area personnel is up to date on applicable policies and procedures.
• Ensure EHSS objectives and targets are established for their employees as applicable to their role, training is assigned and completed on-time, and procedures are implemented, followed, and monitored to ensure EHSS compliance.
• Ensure EHSS Good Saves and Incidents are reported promptly in CURVE, investigated, and CAPAs completed on time.
• Ensure EHSS is integrated into the department processes and meetings including: MOC, JSA, EHS walkthroughs, GEMBA, and CURVE CAPAS & resources.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required; Focus in Engineering, Operations Management, or other technical degree is preferred.
• Master/ Advanced Degree also preferred

Required:

• Minimum 8 -10 years’ relevant experience required.
• Ability to build interdependent partnering relationships that facilitate the accomplishment of Operations goals/objectives.
• Bilingual English- Spanish
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word required.
• Preferred ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish across functions and both internally/externally

Preferred:

• Senior Production Management experience preferred.
• Healthcare/Medical Devices Sector experience preferred.
• Knowledge of capacity planning, financial acumen and a basic understanding of lean manufacturing technologies preferred.
• Basic project management skills preferred.
• Formal lean training and/or certification preferred.
• Formal 6-sigma/process excellence training and/or certification preferred.
• Experience working in a FDA regulated environment preferred.
