Purpose:
Manages a team of individual contributors and/or Supervisors, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management.
Develops tactical and operational plans to achieve Production Planning and Scheduling goals, and communicates plans to Managers, Supervisors, and individual contributors.
Creates production plans in adherence to the company's budget and deadlines.
Defines objectives and guidelines that guide employees toward achieving a smooth and efficient workflow.
Ensures compliance with policies and procedures to achieve the organization's goals and objectives for the production function.
Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.

JOB SUMMARY*
•Achieving customer demand fulfillment targets, developing & implementing world-class inventory.
•Managing & directing global, strategic demand & inventory plans. This position possesses a broad range of responsibilities critical to efficient utilization of resources & inventories to meet demand.
•Managing & Accountable for Master Production Schedulers alignment on processes and execution for such as Business Planning, Capacity Planning, Systems Capability and Data Management and Inventory Entitlement.
•Owns and Responsible for the execution and process improvement for the Supply IBP process.
•Leads the Production Planning and Integration of new products.
•Lead Mentor and Coach Production Planning team to review manufacturing capacity utilization and identifies possible manufacturing constraints. Monitors and anticipates production issues due to assembly capacity and new product launches.
•Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
•Focusing on driving customer value through development & implementation of MedTech Plan Business Practices & Standards.
•Ensure demand & inventory management systems are maintained & continuously improved to achieve state-of-the-art business process technology.
•Serves as a common business voice in process and initiatives for MedTech Plan Organization.
•Responsible to identify, communicate, and drive corrective actions derived from the execution of the supply plan as it relates to the production planning embedded in duties and responsibilities section.
You will be responsible for:
In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
•Know & follow company policies & procedures & assure that direct reports know & follow policies & procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility.
•TRAINING: Complete training in area of responsibility & assure that direct reports are trained in area of responsibility within allowed time-period. Training is required for changes in existing policies & procedures, for new assignments & for implementation of new policies & procedures. Complete required periodic re-training & assure that required periodic re-training takes place for direct reports in areas such as safety & environmental.
•SAFETY: Set standards for safe behavior. Recognize & reward safe behavior in others. Ensure that direct reports employ safe practices. Enforce safety policies & procedures. Evaluate staff member’s safety performance & ensure that safety is a part of each direct report’s GPMS.
•Provide leadership for production planning team members in developing & completing objectives.
•Coach Production Planning team members in processes necessary to accomplish properly evaluated schedules & changes with respect to inventories & resources & monitoring same to ensure consumption & production are being accomplished as planned.
•Mentor & coach department associates on career development.
•Provide performance feedback to direct reports on a quarterly basis or more frequently if required.
•Ensure department associates’ skills are in place to meet enterprise needs.
•Lead the process of integrating marketing forecasts into viable schedules that are compatible with the business plan; an efficient use of capacities & resources & incorporate defined inventory levels.
•Reduce obsolescence excess & slow-moving material exposure by direct interface with engineering, materials, manufacturing, marketing & finance in the release of new products & phase-out of old products.
•Facilitate deployment and maintenance of lean scheduling process to establish parameters, inventory targets, and continuous improvement to support customer service, inventory, and cost targets.
Define, develop & maintain, with the aid of on-line systems, lead-times, backorders & backlog management.
•Establish & assure that monthly product reviews with marketing, materials, manufacturing, & finance directors addressing performance to plan (sales, orders, and production), performance deficiencies & recovery plans are conducted.
•Create & maintain policies & procedures for product review, schedule development & maintenance, inventory levels, inventory tracking, & report generation.
•Ensure demand & inventory management systems are maintained & continuously improved to achieve state-of-the-art business process technology.
•Support ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9000 activities.
•Follow J& J and company Records Management Policies for Convenience Information, Records Retention Schedules, Training and Education, Document Hold Notices, Records Cleanout, achieving customer demand fulfillment targets, developing & implementing world-class inventory.
•Management practices & standards.
•Managing & directing global, strategic demand & inventory plans. This position possesses a broad range of responsibilities critical to efficient utilization of resources & inventories to meet demand.
•Managing the central focal point representing the interest of marketing, sales, manufacturing, materials, engineering & finance at corporate international & site levels to assure global enterprise product demand objectives are met.
•Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
•For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
•Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
•Plans and prepares the production master program to supply the sales demand plan, as well as to comply with inventory plans. Plans, programs and monitors the progress of current product supply according to the program. Supervises the execution of the production program and interplant requirement plant and takes actions when necessary to ensure compliance.
•Revises the worldwide demand of product codes assigned and the production master program in such way that the finished product inventory is maintained within the goal and plans to provide support to a level of service according to the objectives of the organization.
•Serves as first contact with manufacturing for matters of planning.
•Alerts the worldwide planner about potential mistakes of demand established in the system.
• Guides efforts to avoid delayed orders, communicating to Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Service and Purchasing to increase the material supply when customer service is at risk.
•When the supply is less than the demand, he/she recommends inventory assignment plans so that the customer service is taken to the maximum levels.
•Monitors the load capacity in the assigned production lines and forecasts future loads.
•Determines the programming of new products and continuously updates the team about new products and plans of the demand when the production plan decreases.
•Determines the initial inventory requirements jointly with demand planning in terms of sales weeks for the launching of a new product.
•Manages phases of the products in way that obsolete material inventory is minimum.
•Identifies the products of little use or obsolete when necessary.
• Continuously modifies the safety inventory.
• Monitors all the standard operation procedures. Recommends changes and improvements to the procedures.
•Elaborates and analyzes the report of obsolete and surplus material.
•Daily supervision of production activities (real production vs. planned production) and maintains priorities to expedite, when necessary, availability of raw material, production in process, liberation of products and/or movement of product to finished product inventory.
•Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
