We are searching for the best talent for a Manufacturing Value Stream Manager Manager to be in Grecia, Costa Rica.

Purpose:

The Value Stream Manager is accountable for the day to day, safe, complaint and reliable operation of the assigned manufacturing area to meet our production commitments according to the site supply plan.

Additionally, this role will be accountable to leverage the site support functions and their team to drive high performance within the Business Unit and significantly increase the capacity of the facility. This role will also be responsible for the deployment of the longer-term strategy for the Business Unit to maximise the capacity and efficiency of the facility

You will be responsible for:

  • Implement the Operations function’s strategic imperatives in-line with the Joints & Site strategic objectives.
  • Lead the Value Stream cross functional team to deliver all EHS, Quality, Service, TTM and Cost goals & objectives.
  • Sponsors an environment of Safety, Quality, People Development and CI within the Value Stream by working with business partners to define expected standards and the roles/responsibilities in the achievement of these standards.
  • Ensure all manufacturing operations within the Value Stream conform to world-wide corporate, statutory, and regulatory requirements for GMP/GDP & EHS.
  • Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are thoroughly investigated and resultant actions completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the optimisation of resources, processes, and equipment within manufacturing in conjunction with relevant support functions. Ensure the correct labour headcount is in place on a monthly basis in line with demand by using headcount model. Labour cost to be controlled and monitored using Parts per person.
  • Instill and maintain a sense of urgency and customer focus within Value Stream. Prioritise production in line with customer service requirements. Work with PP& L to eliminate / minimise backorder and safety stock concerns. Efficiently manage variations in manufacturing demands.
  • Continually improve and develop standard communications through:
    • Daily pulse walks
    • Daily Production meetings
    • Value stream meetings
    • Monthly Value Stream communications
  • Set direction for Value Stream targets (People/EHS/Quality/Service/Cost) and hold people accountable for Value Stream results. Drive continuous improvement across all metrics.
  • Develop both team and individual goals and objectives and measure actual performance against them, providing timely and honest feedback on performance even in difficult situations. Complete minimum of 5 People conversations annually (Performance & Development Planning, Mid-Year, Career Planning, Year End Performance, Year End Compensation).This should be supported with ongoing 1: 1s with direct reports for performance and development coaching.
  • Ensure absence, lates and ER issues are managed by staff in a fair and reasonable manner in line with company policies, Credo values and Standards of leadership.
  • Develop and maintain a positive employee environment by promoting open communication, engagement, and development of strong teams. Promote a culture on inclusiveness, trust, flexibility, and teamwork in alignment with CREDO and Leadership Imperatives.
  • Create opportunities to reward and recognise success of teams and individuals.
  • Identify training requirements for team and opportunities /assignments for development to maximise their potential.
  • Ensure appropriate escalation to next level leaders on any significant issues and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Actively encourage, promote and facilitate implementation of innovative solutions to ensure quality while delivering lower costs and shorter lead times.
  • Recommend capital investment in production equipment as appropriate.
  • Establish world-class housekeeping standards within the value stream using the 6S Process.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Minimum of a University Bachelor’s Degree required; Focus in Engineering, Operations Management, or other technical degree is preferred; Advanced (Masters) Degree preferred

Required:

  • Minimum 6-8 years’ relevant experience required.
  • Ability to build interdependent partnering relationships that facilitate the accomplishment of Operations goals/objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word required.
  • Preferred ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish across functions and both internally/externally
