What you will do

The R& D Deployment Principal Engineer Packaging is in charge for the Deployment in EMEA of solutions developed by the Global Hubs for Baby Care segment products. They will be as well responsible to support the Packaging Post Launch activities cross segment in the region.

As part of this scope, the R& D Deployment Principal Engineer Packaging is:
  • Responsible for the deployment of EMEA Baby Care packaging, aligned to the regional and global segment strategies for superior consumer experience.
  • Responsible for packaging execution excellence of projects pipeline applying the Kenvue Packaging Development Process to deliver Right First Time approach in the ways of working.
  • Accountable for primary and secondary packaging component specification robustness, accuracy and completeness.
  • Delivers projects with quality; compliance with company requirement; compiles and analyses data, identifies causes, draws conclusions, generates reports.
  • Representing Packaging in the triage meeting to define responsibility and priorities of the Post Launch activities, coordinating the support of those projects falling into Packaging responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritise multiple rapidly changing priorities & ability to be on top of critical programs, ensuring flawless execution.
  • Partners closely with Global Packaging teams of innovation, sustainability, experience, value realisation and supplier excellence to support platform deployment and supplier selection.
  • Partners closely with Global Packaging Sustainability team in embedding packaging sustainability playbook and guidelines into the creation of packaging specifications that delivers Kenvue's sustainability commitments.
  • Partners with the cross-functional team to deploy new package based on consumer insights, delivering the targeted consumer benefit and key claims, while meeting cost targets.
  • Brings an external perspective by identifying, evaluating and championing technical advancements, design trends and innovations in packaging.
  • Stay aware of suppliers and competitors new developments, and highlight to appropriate management as needed.

What we are looking for
  • Required: 6 years experience in Packaging, preferably in Personal Care industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Engineering or a related science field is required, advanced degree is preferred.
  • Preferred experience in CPG/FMCG..

Key Capabilities
  • Experience with a wide variety of packaging technologies ranging from injection moulding to fiber based packaging.
  • Strong focus on sustainability and eCommerce (Omnichannel) packaging is required.
  • Proficient in Packaging Development, materials application, conversion technologies, DfM principles, consumer use analysis.
  • Data savvy - ability to use data, insights & analytics to support perspectives.
  • Ability to communicate across the organization, including succinctly communicating technical details to non-technical stakeholders and business partners.
  • Ability to influence and motivate cross-functional partners to deploy & implement programs. Can inspire and enroll teams in a vision.
  • Managing ambiguity - can make decisions and recommendations in the face of uncertainty.
  • Ability to balance multiple stakeholders, both across functions and geographics.
  • Comfortable in making presentations, has strong speaking ability and interpersonal skills.
  • Business acumen - understand trends, technology and information impacting the business and organization; knows how the business and competition works.
