EHS Data Analyst - Internship

This position reports to EHS Manager and is based in Pomezia Santa Palomba (Rome).

What you will do

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Excellence team for a 6-month internship. This position will report directly to the Pomezia EHS Site Lead for the EMEA Region and will focus on performance management, analytics, and reporting with a strong emphasis on automation. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and impactful field.

Key Responsibilities

1. Performance Management:

• Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting EHS performance data across the EMEA region.

• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual EHS performance reports.

• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and areas for improvement.

• Assist in the implementation of performance improvement initiatives.

2. Analytics and Reporting:

• Conduct data analysis to support EHS initiatives and decision-making processes.

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to visualize EHS performance metrics.

• Ensure accuracy and consistency in data reporting across the region.

• Support data validation and ensure the accuracy and integrity of EHS data.

3. Automation:

• Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify opportunities to automate data reporting processes.

• Collaborate with analytic team and other departments to implement automation solutions.

• Develop and implement automated reporting templates to streamline EHS reporting.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

• Support the region in staying abreast of emerging regulations and compliance requirements.

• Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to ensure regulatory compliance.

5. Additional Responsibilities:

• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in EHS performance management and analytics.

• Conduct research and analysis on EHS best practices and industry trends.

• Provide administrative support to the EHS Excellence team as needed.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with automation tools or programming languages is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
