You will lead the SEA Packaging agenda to own the packaging pillar in SEA. This role will enable consumer delight in packaging, enable business decisions and seamless manufacturing and supply chain operations decision. In order to deliver this, the role will:

  • Provide technical leadership in packaging for SEA

  • Drive Design to Value for Cost optimization in packaging

  • Develop and implement packaging sustainability

  • Lead Packaging Print Development

  • Packaging Value Stream to continuous improvement of packaging material and processes

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Provide technical leadership in packaging for SEA

This position is the go-to person for packaging material

  • The individual is expected to provide technical guidance, continuous improvement support and functional collaborative leadership.

  • Lead within KC and partner externally in the development of alternatives, cost effective methods for producing printed packages and/or print materials.

  • Drive continuous improvement ensuring packaging print development systems, material suitability and prints used by Kimberly-Clark are effectively managed and implemented.

Drive Design to Value for Cost optimization in packaging

Manage packaging developmental activities to deliver value to the business in packaging. This will include (but not limited to)

  • Material Development to support innovation with Packaging Material Analysis

  • Ability to Run Material Trials to enable the above

  • Conduct technical and cost Analysis with regional and country stakeholders

Develop and implement packaging sustainability strategy

  • Optimize plastic in existing Packaging Material working with technical & commercial team

  • Pioneer new development of Packaging Material for recycle plastic

  • Develop Sustainability Packaging Material Special Run and Trials Management.

  • Support APAC Sustainability

Lead Packaging Print Development

  • Collaborate and communicate to the related 3rd Party key stakeholders i.e. Pre-Press and Packaging Vendors supporting product launch schedule with good packaging material & print quality

  • Coordinate and communicate to the related KC key stakeholders on the regional/cross sourcing SKUs supporting product launch schedule with good packaging material & print quality

  • Plan, organize, collaborate projects to meet business objectives relating to package aesthetic, performance and safety requirements. Develop processes and tools to realize the best practices of NPI Packaging Print related to cost optimization, color management, artwork graphic realization and related process

Packaging Value Stream to continuous improvement of packaging material and processes

  • Provide technical guidance, continuous improvement support and functional collaborative leadership in development of alternatives, cost effective methods for producing printed packages and/or print materials.

  • Continuously seeking opportunities for innovative approaches to addressing problems in changeable environment to improve print development and print quality.

Job Requirements

To be successful in the role, the successful candidate is expected to have sound in-depth technical knowledge on a broad range of all aspects of Packaging such as Manufacturing Process Control, Packaging Material Characteristics & Performance, Quality Practice and Safety Requirements.

In addition, the following qualifications and experience are essential

  • A bachelor’s degree in Packaging or related technical discipline

  • At least 8- 10 years of work experience in packaging development function from FMCG Industry

  • Should have in-depth technical knowledge of flexible, Paper, corrugate etc. Packaging materials.

  • Should have Strong knowledge on Printing Technology (different Printing methods, Pre & Post Press process)

  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely in a matrix organization

  • The ability to influence commercial, technical colleagues and suppliers

  • Ability to think critically and articulate challenges and potential solutions

  • Hands on, self-starter and able to supports projects and activities independently
